Peanut Butter Chocolate Banana Shake

This thick and creamy shake tastes like a nutty, chocolate Brownie in liquid form. It’s honestly just so delicious. Enjoy it with a spoon or a large straw. And a smile on your face, of course.

An added bonus: this shake can also double up as a great stand alone meal— the Peanut Butter and Walnuts should help to keep you full for a while. I’m not usually big on dessert-y flavors but I’ve been craving this at least once a week. It’s pretty dang good.

[ Makes ~16 oz ]

Ingredients

3 x frozen Bananas

3/4 cup Unsweetened Vanilla Hemp or Almond Milk

2 tbsp Peanut Butter

2 tbsp Cocoa Powder

Pinch of Salt (optional)

Handful of Walnuts (optional)

Equipment

Blender

Instructions

  1. Throw all ingredients except Walnuts into a blender and blend on high until completely smooth (30-60 seconds). You may need to use the tamper because this shake is thickkkkkk.

  2. Once smooth, throw in your optional Walnuts and blend until they’re mostly broken up, but not all the way smooth.

  3. Pour into a glass and enjoy!

Notes

  • Make sure you’re using frozen Bananas, this is what gives this shake a ice cream-like consistency.

  • I like to use Hemp or Almond Milk, but use whatever you prefer. Water works just fine too, you’ll just have a slightly less creamy shake.

  • Similarly, use your fav Peanut Butter. I like crunchy & salted.

  • Lastly, if you dig a sweeter shake try throwing a teaspoon of Sugar, some Dates, Agave, or Maple Syrup in.
