simple, super speedy, and delicious

For months I made this green smoothie just about every morning, and every time I heard the angels sing. Maybe it's just the straw slurping, I dunno.

This velvety smoothie requires no chopping beforehand and comes together in a matter of minutes, so I love it on busy mornings. It tastes of the simply sweet flavor of Mango and Banana with just a touch of that oceany Spirulina.

Unlike a lotta Smoothie recipes, this one holds up pretty well in the fridge. So if you don’t wanna wake anyone up at the crack of dawn or if you wind up with some leftover, stick it in the fridge for later.

[ Makes 32 oz Smoothie ]

Ingredients

2 cups frozen Mango Chunks

2 x frozen Banana

1 tsp Spirulina Powder

2 tbsp Hemp Seeds

1.5 cups Water

Equipment

Blender

Instructions

  1. Gather your ingredients

  2. Throw everything in a blender

  3. Blend on high speed for about 30-60 seconds, or until creamy and smooth.

  4. And that’s it! Pour into a tall glass or drink right outta the blender. Enjoy!

Notes

  • If you’re working with non-frozen fruit, your smoothie may be a lil less velvety in texture. Totally fine and still delicious, but you may wanna cut back on the Water if you’re seeking a thicker slurp

  • No Spirulina? No problem. Try 1 cup of Spinach instead.

  • Saving some for later? Seal in an airtight container in the fridge so it doesn't oxidize and get yucky. Glass is ideal but whatevs you’ve got will work.

So what’s your go-to smoothie recipe?

I personally love the Smoothies that take *literally* seconds to throw together. I think there’s this big misconception that Smoothies have to have a billion and one ingredients. Really, simple ingredients are a lot more manageable, and often much more flavorful.

But hey, sometimes you want something a lil fancier with all the bells and whistles. Either way, I wanna know what your go-to ingredients, combinations, or flavors are when it comes to smoothies.
