Berry Beet Smoothie

easy breakfast - difficulty: level 1

berry beet smoothie

sweet earthy goodness

This tasty blend is inspired by the brisk mornings when my sweetie wakes me up with a piping hot mug of coffee and a tall, frothy smoothie.

Mango, Blueberry, and Banana come together with earthy Beets and Flax to make a rich, almost chewy, smoothie. Add in some Peanut Butter and it becomes a hearty meal, perfect for sharing.

[ MAKES 1 X 32 OZ SMOOTHIE ]

1 cup Frozen Mango

1 cup Frozen Blueberries

1 x raw Beet

1 x Apple

2 tbsp Peanut Butter

1 tbsp Flax, ground

1 cup Water

Blender

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Gather your ingredients!

  2. Peel your Beet and core your Apple.

  3. Throw everything in a blender and blend on high speed for about 30-60 seconds, or until creamy and smooth.

NOTES

  • Not using a high-speed blender? Dice your Beet and Apple beforehand to get a smoother consistency.

  • If you’re feelin adventurous, add in a Kiwi or Spinach, swap the Apple for a Pear, or use Almond Milk instead of Water. You can even swap Peanut Butter for your favorite nut butter.

  • Give this smoothie a more milkshake-y consistency by freezing your Bananas first!

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge so it doesn't get yucky and oxidize.
